This edition of rum is defined by its exquisite, soft taste. The Solera rums mature for ten to twenty years in American oak barrels, letting the specific Caribbean climate contribute to their delicate smoothness. Once again the master blender Santiago used his own experience, together with the Solera rums provided by Oliver & Oliver, as ingredients for 4000 bottles of limited edition premium rum. Its special taste is marked by a delicious accent of citrus, and joined by the physical sensation of touching a label made of sail when holding the bottle.
Eight years of maturing in American oak barrels using the Solera aging process and the final added touch of a Cuban master blender gave this gran añejo (great vintage) rum its beautiful amber colour and the delicious soft flavour, with a feisty bite, creating a mouth filling taste with traces of wood, tropical fruit and a light presence of honey. This is an excellent rum to enjoy in its pure form, produced in a special limited edition of 3000 bottles. The first of what is hopefully to become a very long line of yearly-shipped collector’s items in the form of premium Caribbean rum.
Eight years of the special Solera maturing process and the final added touch of our friend, the Cuban master blender, are responsible for this exquisite gran añejo (great vintage) rum.
The smoothness of the taste already captivates upon reaching the nose. Hints of citrus fruit and cocoa subtly flow against the roof of the mouth and don’t stop to seductively linger behind. The aftertaste is full bodied and soft, containing a fine note of wood. The second limited edition of 5000 bottles is still available.
